| Drawing Lines with Mouse Clicks | |||||||||||||||||||
Note There are two ways to draw lines on CueTable. Let's try the simpler way first, move the cue ball onto the table. Drawing Straight Lines Double-click on the cue ball and move the mouse around, you will see a line coming out of the ball with a pointing arrow attached at the end. Click on a spot inside the table to make a pivot point, make sure you see the arrowhead blinks as you hold down the mouse. Click around a few more times. To stop, Double-Click anywhere or click below of the table. To extend a line, Double-Click on its arrowhead to start drawing the line again. Drawing Curve Lines When drawing a line, Shift-Click on a spot will draw a starting point for a curve. You can use the Ghostball function if you would like to change the shape of a line. Moving a ball away from its path To move a ball away from its path, you can either, ctrl-click or cmd-click on the ball, press <delete> key, or move the cursor somewhere else and press the associated hotkey for that ball. *The end arrow will automatically disappear from its line when its ball has been detached

Changing Line Mode
Click on this change the line weight at anytime, Press another time will turn the line into a shaded region box. Press again will set it back to a thin line. You can also set the line mode by Shift+Clicking on the ball. Displaying Angle & Distance There is a line data display in the bottom message window indicating the last pivot angle and total distance as you draw each new point Billiard as an Art Expression Think of all the colorful balls in motion. The paths follow the rules of physics and create interesting patterns over time. Being capable of visualizing this psychedelic image is the first reason we play pool. Everything comes from their vivid colors, and we have decided to use all the balls as our drawing tool and the table as the canvas. |
